EDITED WITH PIX!!Trip Report Day 4 - Tuesday, August 7, 2012

Up at 6:19am. Yes, you read that correctly.
D thought it was 7:19am because his phone was registering an hour late for some reason. We were wondering why it was overcast and not sunny.....DOH!!!! It's because it was 6:19 and not 7:19!!!!
So...we got out of bed at 6:45am. I enjoyed my Kiss of the Jumbie and checked work emails.
On the way out, Eileen brought clean, yummy smelling fresh towels down to us. I'm telling you - Mike and Eileen are the. sweetest. folks. We were checking out Thursday, and she told us to just take our time leaving since no one was checking in to our room that day.
We headed to Gibney, and arrived at 8:45am. We snorkeled, but it was really poor visibility on the right side (facing beach, right side by Oppenheimer building). Just not a great snorkel. Really disappointing. I have loved the Gibney snorkel in previous years, but this year - MAN. The coral was prettty beat up.
I did see a school of blue tang and some squid (cuttlefish - whatever they're called), and a flamingo tongue.

After the snorkel, I got out and walked to the other end towards Hawksnest. Super overcast morning (thus the poor visibility down under).

So, make lemonades out of lemons. I read magazines and we ate chips for "lunch."
Lucky for us, the sun started coming out around that time.

Hilarious crab show-down right beside me. Two crabs. Stare-down. One was super aggressive, but smaller, so the larger crab would come out of his lair and pounce on the aggressive one and keep him down for a while. Then, a few minutes later, they were back at it. Hilarious. This seriously kept me occupied for about an hour. Only on STJ....
See the two of them?

After the crab show down, I snorkeled some more, and read and relaxed some more. Since the sun was out, I could see everything a lot better.

We left around 3pm and headed to Deli Grotto. We had 2 Cubanos, a crack bar, 2 cans of coke, 2 packs of tamarind balls (YUCK - D loves them) - total was $27. (Can we just talk about how EXPENSIVE those tamarind balls are?!? 3 balls for $2. Whaaaaaaaaaaat?!?!)
Anyway, we left and shopped around Mongoose Junction. I got a ring and some bracelets from Caravan for about $57; a basket at Bamboola for $26; a onesie for our (future) child at the National Park Service store for $20; silver seashells and fish for $15 at Nest. A successful shopping trip if I do say so myself.
We then went to STJ Car Rental and parked there. D LOVES the ladies who work there, and they LOVE him, so he stopped by and flirted a little. Sweetest ladies!
We walked to Grande Bay (we were going to check out a timeshare), but the person we were to see wasn't in, so we walked / shopped around. I found a silver charm at Bamboo that I really liked ($59), and now regret not buying. Next year!!!!!
We took the North Shore road home. Gorgeous views.
Funny - we bring our Bob Marley cd with us each year to listen to in the jeep, and for some reason, D thinks Bob is saying, "Ziggy don't worry...'bout a thing...." instead of "Baby don't worry....." Hilarious.
We are on the hunt for a genip tree because we want more of them. They were in season while we were on island. Yay! (Are they always in season?!?)
We passed Mike delivering banana nut loafs and chocolate chip cookies on our way back "home." We arrived around 4:30, showered, checked emails, and relaxed. We had pretzels and the rest of the crack bar and cokes for "dinner." 10pm bed time.
Another fabulous day on island.
