Coral Bay Trip Report: Days 2 & 3

We were up with the sun. Being in an Eastern facing bedroom with no curtains will do that!
We spent most mornings being very lazy. 2 pots of coffee, leisurely breakfast, reading, etc.
Our traveling companions had plans to meet friends at Maho and we did as well so we all packed up and headed out sometime around noon.
It was lovely for a few minutes, our friends arrived, and it started to rain. We stuck it out for a while but gave in and headed back to Coral Bay.
We had plans with Forum friends that evening so I made an appetizer and we decided to run over to Shipwreck to have a drink and meet Pat. Pat wasn’t there so we had a drink and an order of Conch Frittters and headed over to our friend’s villa, Periwinkle Cottage.
We got a bit lost, but eventually found it. It is a great villa and we were so happy to get together with Bev, Pia(Dianne), Betty(Beth), and their husbands. We laughed a lot, danced a bunch, and had a really great time.
Day 3
Monday morning was typically lazy. We stopped and rented snorkel gear at Crabby’s and headed to Francis. The weather was perfect. Someone called out Manta and I ran with my gear into the water. I swam and swam and swam and saw nothing!
We hung around until we were hungry and headed into Cruz Bay to have lunch at Sun Dog. Our lunch was delicious but service was just, eh. We went to Starfish to pick up a few more things we needed and then headed back to Coral Bay.
There may have been a nap involved or just reading or both.
Dinner was grilled chicken and zucchini and salad at the villa followed by cigars on the pool deck.
It was an early night for us, Palm Tree Charters in the AM!
