Does Dollar Rent a Car allow their vehicles to go to St John

I know that Hertz does not allow their vehicles to go on the car barge to St John but has anyone had any issue with renting from Dollar and taking the vehicle to St John? I've seen some reference that individuals have done this but I'm concerned that their Local Policy online specifically states the vehicle can not be taken off the island (as does Thrifty).
We wanted to rent with Amalie, as so many had good things to say about their great service but unfortunately they are closed during the time we'll be there next month on a trip to the states.
