On St John it happens at 4am (ish) on the morning of 4th of July.

Oh well, we'll just have to plan that week next year! I'm used to Mardi Gras in New Orleans. How does this compare?

On STT it will be from about 2am to past sunrise - along the waterfront - on Thurs April 26 - it is a mob scene of dancing people behind flat bed trucks with local bands playing - never been to Mardi Gras but I don't think it is similar.
