This is really and truly off-topic, but my kids have been captivated by these nesting Bald Eagles for the past couple of weeks. I watched the third eaglet hatch with the kids yesterday morning and now I am hooked! Being the nature lovers that I know many of you are, I figured you might appreciate this too. Enjoy!

There is eagle mania in our house. There is a nest along the Susquehanna River in Dauphin County and we are constantly watching for the eagles. Most often then not, we can find them in the trees close to the nest.

Those eaglets look older. When did they hatch?

I watched the Decorah eagles all last year and saw the babies hatch and leave the nest. It's awesome to see, especially for kids!

The Richmond eagles hatched March 16th and 18th. Every Friday the director of the research center operating the camera joins chat to take questions. It's been very educational.

I just love watching these eagles! This year's eaglets are referred to as D12, D13,and D14 (whom I watched hatch). I assume that implies that the Decorah pair has has 14 offspring to date.
