Hi everyone!!

Well, as most of you know, we loved Into the Mystic and St. John even more, so now we're looking to come back, and spend less. If anyone has stayed at Surf Sound, please let me know what you thought, any things that we should bring that are not provided in the cottage, etc. I would appreciate it so much!

I'm afraid we may have been spoiled with the luxury of Into the Mystic, but really all we need is a clean bed and a shower. TV & Internet would be nice, but not a deal breaker.

Any and all information about Surf Sound would be appreciated!! They're websites most recent reviews are from 2007!

How many people and what's your price range?

2 people, We're hoping for about $1,000 a week, and then add 3 more days.

The price at Surf Sound is perfect, $1,000 a week + $143 for each additional night. We stayed 7 nights last year and on the fifth day I was exhausted, but didn't want to waste any of my vacation time, so I thought if we had ten days, I could rest on the fifth day! We also paid $3,100 for 7 nights last year. It was great for our 25th Anniversary, but we can't spend that kind of money every year!

I do prefer the Coral Bay end of the island. 8)

My hubby and I stayed at Surf Sound and loved it. It was very, very private, clean, and comfortable. The views and breezes were amazing as well. The only thing I could see as a negative is the 'driveway' which is more like 4 wheeling up a mountain path. We thought the driveway was part of the villa's charm and added to its safety as well but I could see how some would think it's too scary. There was cold AC in the bedroom, a great covered deck, and a sun deck near the roof. We had no problems with bugs, everything was spotless, and the owner was great to work with. It takes about 1 minute to get to the Tourist Trap.

Cable flat screen tv, wifi, and free long distance as well. We were there June 2011 and while staying in town is fun when with the girls, hubby and I plan on staying there on our future romantic visits.

Thank you for the info!

We had a steep road last year, but it was paved!
Our anniversary is at the end of November and last year it rained once or twice for a few minutes, is the dirt road still drivable in the rain?

Would you believe we were in Coral Bay for 8 days and never saw the Tourist Trap? I guess we'll find it if we stay at Surf Sound this year!

Oh, I can't wait to get my ticker!!!

Yep, we drove up and down in the rain a few times and had no problems... perhaps it's not slippery like pavement because it's not a dirt driveway, it's bumpy-bone jiggling, rock!
