Night Life for Newbies?

I am hosting a girl's trip in May and none of my friends have been to St John before. I have only been there once (in 2003) and can't wait to return. I am definitely not a "night person" so I would appreciate some assistance. Can you suggest places for them to go where they can listen to music or otherwise have fun?
Also, what time do restaurants/bars close? And... what time do private taxi's end their day?

Cases by the Sea in Coral Bay has reggae music with DJ's on Saturday nights quite frequently. It's a pretty laid back atmosphere, if that's what you like. I love it there! Very friendly place to hang out, drink and watch the boats in Coral Harbor.

Do taxi's run at night? Especially from Coral Bay to Cruz Bay?
