It is 87 degrees and gloriously sunny in greater Boston
and 75 degrees and overcast in Cruz Bay (according to the webcam).

We had all of the windows open yesterday since it was so nice out. As evening came on the birds started chirping in the yard and my wife said "I think the Bananaquits need more sugar. Will you take care of it, please?"

We've had dinner on the back patio for the last 3 nights. It's not St John, but I am loving this weather!

Just sitting here in Western Mass, just got an e mail from friends in STJ, has been raining since Friday, the worst since 1997!! So we're told!
Boy, do we feel bad since we recommended STJ to them. Hopefully it will clear in the next two weeks, we arrive on 5 May for 10 days. Oh, the temp did hit 91 today! MKPK

Never tried this, but will next time. How much sugar should you put in a cereal bowl sized bowl of water?
To the last poster, no way you or anyone else can predict what the weather on the islands will be at any given time. We have had good and not so good weather. One just has to make the most of it.

We just used a saucer. At first I mixed a couple of tablespoon of sugar with about the same amount of water. Then Captain Phil mentioned that they just use straight sugar and forgot about the water. I put about 1/4 cup of sugar in the saucer and they would wipe it out in about 30 minutes!

I just drove up to Lake Superior today. It was low 70's and sunny, but there was still some ice on the water! How long till I'm on island time...
