I'm looking for a great map of the entire island of St. John. Size wise, I would not like to go any bigger than 18x24. Thanks!

Have you checked Trail Bandit's site? He has online maps for printing and printed maps for sale:
http://www.trailbandit.org/ I don't know what size but worth a look.
You could also check with Ruth at St John Spice to see if she has any.

What are you intending to use the map for? We love maps in this household, but have different maps for different reasons.

The best map I've found is the one you can pick up at the National Park Service. I'm not sure if you can find it online, but it's close to the dock when you arrive and it's the best!
I always pick up a couple on the first day...and they're free!

I did screen captures of the Trail Bandit's maps and downloaded them to my smart phone. Very useful.

I'm looking for a map for decoration purposes and a map we can use as a resource when we plan our travels and share our island adventures with family and friends!

In that case, there is a shop (can't remember the name) in Mongoose Junction, on the left, before you get to Deli Grotto.
Great map! I have it framed on my wall.
They will ship it to you.

We bought a nice, old-looking map of STJ at a shop in Mongoose Junction several years ago and had it matted and framed and it is now prominently displayed in our house. I think it was from SugarBirds near Deli Grotto, like the previous poster mentioned.
It's not super accurate though so I wouldn't necessarily use it as a resource.

Must have been popular; I got one there years ago and had it framed up too, on the wall right next to my computer so when I'm searching out villas I can get a better visual where I'd be

My opinion is that the Trail Bandit map is the best for adventure/hiking/exploring. All the trails are described, and it includes some trails that aren't on the NPS map.
For decorative purposes, you can also order the 1860 Oxholm map from the Trail Bandit. If you intend to frame the map, he'll send it to you rolled, so there are no creases - for only $5! My friends ordered one for a my surprise 50th party, and got it matted. Then everyone wrote their b-day wishes to me on the matting. I got it framed, and it's my most cherished gift from my milestone birthday.

We have the Nat. Geo. National Park map, but we don't have the Trail Bandit maps -

I ordered the "Map Combo" here back in 2008. That's how I found the forum. You should ask Bob (the Trail Bandit) if he'd like to add caribmart to his distribution channels. His map is an awesome resource.

Thanks! And yes I should - I was working on it once (getting maps from him) and I can't remember why it didn't come off. But I will try again - I would love to have those.
