We got about 4-5 inches of snow from the storm this week, we had none prior to that. I would like to hybernate and not come out until June!

Here is our sunset over Lake Michigan in Muskegon, Michigan tonight. That is snow on the beach, not sand. Cold, but beautiful at the same time.

WOW! Love the snow on the beach. I remember we had snow on the beach about 18 years ago... it was 70 degrees today!

The foot of snow we got this weekend is really the first accumulating snow this winter. Seeing the lake open water in January is rare. We're usually encrusted in icebergs for a very long way offshore by now.

9 on Cape Ann with a wind chill lower but supposed to warm up to freezing and beyond later in the week. I went looking for a photo of seasmoke to share because it is too damn cold to go out and take one myself. The seasmoke happens when the water is much warmer than the air. Looks like fog.

I found this photo. This photographer, "brianmoc" has some really beautiful photos so I added the link:

Love this one of Rockport Harbor in the moonlight
