You guys are a great source of information, inspiration and humor. But it's now my time and tomorrow will be boarding a 9:50 US Air flight out of Philly non-stop to STT.

This will be our second trip, but our first time renting a car on STT. Can anyone provide any insight or advice on getting from the airport to Redhook, and getting the rental onto the barge? I'm hoping it's all pretty obvious, but I'm not counting on anything.

My mother (not known for her bravery) headed over to STJ on the car barge yesterday. They went on the earliest one on a Sunday morning and it was a breeze. Their contact in STT had recommended Sunday since there wasn't a lot of construction traffic etc. I think the key is just get there early and be patient. She said everyone was very pleasant and super helpful.
