I am going back to St. John after 9 years. I remember dancing at a place called Duffy's. Is it still around? If not, are there any fun night spots with live music and/or dancing?

Thanks!

Duffy's is no longer on STJ... I think the original is still on STT though (the one on STT was much better than the one on STJ, IMHO).

Duffy's - St. Thomas is very short walk from the Red Hook ferry terminal - across the street and one block up. We went last year with some forum friends because our charter was cancelled. We had a great time. It was great getting back on the ferry and going back to St. John - like starting vacation over again! Even had another "Welcome to St. John" rum shot on the dock when we got back. 8) :D

There are a few pictures here:

I have never been at night (just late afternoon) but that is on the list of things to do this year.

The former Duffy's is now called Castaways. I think you will find some dancing there, if you hit it on the right night. Also, Kenny Floyd plays there on Wednesday nights and he is a very energetic guy---would recommend.

Would also recommend you check out High Tide on Wednesday nights for reggae band Innervisions, and that you check Beach Bar calendar for bands.

Meant to say that Innervisions has been playing at High Tide on Thursday nights.
