Every trip we try new restaurants and frequent old favorites as well. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as the in between meals that come with vacationing are always a treat.
This trip our favorite lunch,
hands down, was Miss Lucy's. Located on Friis Bay on the east end of the island. The food, service, and location was wonderful.
Here is my blog with some pictures of our visit to Miss Lucy's.

We look forward to Miss Lucy's in February.
What is the current goat situation? Last time we were there, the goats were out of control and sort of ruined our lunch.

We have never been to Miss Lucy's. Our favorite lunch is Shipwreck Landings. We love the food and location.

PA Girl - No goats were around. They are all fenced in the yard next door.

Miss Lucy's is one of my favorites for lunch too. I really like Shipwreck also, but you cannot beat the outdoor setting at Miss Lucy's. I see you ordered the grouper reuben and the crunch fish: those are my favorite items to order.
PAGirl, the goats have been completely fenced in for at least two years. There are still chickens wandering around, but no goats.
I think we are going to be on island at the same time. Maybe I'll see you at Miss Lucy's!

Larry's pulled pork anything (taco, nachos, sandwich) at Tourist Trap, Vie's for her garlic chicken and conch fritters, but the best in my opinion is a sandwich (either made back at the house or one from Deli Grotto) at any beautiful spot on the island. I know, I'm a bit of an odd duck.

ps - we went out to Cafe Concordia for the Sunday Brunch this last trip. It was very good, and the setting is superb.

Good to know about the goats. Being a country/farm girl, I do not find free-roaming livestock cute, even the STJ variety. I tolerate the chickens but have no love for the goats. That particular day, a goat jumped on to our table, upsetting our drinks and food.

The goats were out and in full force when we were there in June. I think these were a group of 'wild' goats because there were goats fenced in too!
