O.K. everyone brave hubby just asked how big ferry is to get to the baths. He's the one that gets seasick remember?
What can you guys tell me about the ferry and the ride so that I can reassure him about this day trip.
Counting the days, we leave May 16th.

Did a little checking and how are your rowing skills?
Just kidding :D Here is picture from Inter Islands website. I have seen these boats many a time when we are on the north shore beaches. Good size boats. Hope this helps.

Hmmmm, thinking we should skip the ferry ride. My husband knows that I really want to go, but if he is green the whole trip, It's going to be the pits.

Have you guys "researched" seasickness prevention at all? I've seen various gadgets and remedies advertised and commented on. I recall reading good stuff about some bracelet-type devices that apply pressure to a critical point on the inside of one's wrist. In my youth, I used to sail with friends and always got seasick when I dropped below deck while the boat was in motion. So, I was always the guy who stayed on deck and sailed the boat in foul weather. When I take the ferry from CA to Cruz Bay or vice versa and when I ferried to JvD in March, I make it a point to get a seat high on the uppermost deck where the sun and wind in my face keeps me healthy. And, if it rains, who cares? Yer in Paradise!!!

If your husband gets sea sick like I do - I prefer a boat that moves fast and doesn't have a lot of motion. When we went to the Baths we took the New Horizons II trip. The boat is fast and a smooth ride. You can sit toward the back and get fresh air. We have done the trip twice and I haven't gotten sick. Just a suggestion.
