Has anyone visited the restaurant lately? It interested me a while back but when I just peeked at their menu after reading that article, it didn't excite me too much.
Imagine the logistics of bringing wine over on the ferry by the cases?!?!

we ordered a bottle of wine at Caneel once and the same thing happened. they came to the table and apologized that they had the wine but they had not replenished from their stock in STT so they offered us something else at half price. sold!

We ate apps there at happy Hr. last summer. The drinks were excelent (amazing Dark and Stormy, and Capn Dan loved their wine selection), and the apps were delicious. If a person was looking for standard fare this would not be the place, but the food is fresh and interesting. I really loved talking to the owner as well. Really nice guy!
