Held my breath as I opened the NYT travel section. Please do not mention St John!!!!

Well, they mentioned St Kitts, parts of Jamaica, Bequia and a few other islands, and on the very bottom of the page, where I hope nobody saw it, they mention CORAL BAY,ST JOHN.

We really want to keep this quiet.

:( I noticed a big difference in the amount of people on Island last week. We travel roughly the same week every other year.
Not sure if it was the amount of people or the weather and surf conditions pushing people to the same areas. Early in the week the NS beaches were getting pounded with BIG surf. So Salt Pond was slammed and no place to park. Even had to get creative for Parking at little Lamesure. Previously been able to have Jumbie to ourselves at least for a little while, but with the additional parking and trail rework, and big SIGN. It too became crowded. We even made sure to avoid the big cruise ship days in STT, with 5 ships in port.
We are early risers, usually first one on the beach, where S/H has been quiet early. There were folks there when we hiked in. Then 2 snorkel tour boats showed up as we were leaving.

Guess we're just going to have to work a little harder to find that secret spot.

And Coral Bay should be Okay, it's too far, roads are too winding, Donkeys, Goats in the road

But a day with a few extra folks on beach, is STILL WAY better than sitting here at my desk.
:D
