A while back, there was a thread that contained mentions of two relatively inexpensive underwater cameras.

I remember one was a Kodak, another began with a V I believe. The prices mentioned were reasonable.

Anyway, I am thinking of getting our son an digital camera for Christmas and I think he would like a model that he could take in the water. But I don't want to buy an Olympus or Canon for a 6yo.

Anyone remember the thread or have a recommendation for a-not-so-expensive underwater digital camera?

Look down to the thread "Kodak Playsport" Amazon sells and there are many reviews on their site as well

I need one that takes still pics too and I was pleasantly surprised, when I was looking at that model on Kodak's site, that Kodak makes a $70 waterproof camera that also shots video, which will be perfect for him. Thanks for the recommendation!
