"Larry Klug Prints"- groovy find...?

A neighbor of mine ,elderly, looking to sell stuff at a flea market, asked me to help her load items into her car. (Ok, I saw her struggling,& lent a hand..., duh...)
So we're loading lots of her things to be sold, and she's explaining the origins of when & where she found them.
Now, this lovely old gem/sparkplug of a woman tells me that she also has paintings.
I asked her of what, and she said from the Virgin Islands, back in the 60's.
Not sure when they are from, but they look perty dern old.
The names of the prints are;-
Young Man and His Dreams
and
Baretta Center Steps.
A resident of STT, who wielded a wicked paint brush.
Playing catch-up about this artist, and found it curious that his work(s) lived @ 30 feet away, while all I do is dream about a shared heartland.
I paint, as well. Makes it so much more intriguing.
Just sayin...weird & kinda groovy.

Mj, did you offer to buy them from her? You could probably get them for a low price since things at flea markets don't usually sell for high prices. That would be such a cool connection...you and paintings form the USVI.

Yup, she made me a great offer.
Not just $-wise, but also just as you said, a groovy connection.

Are you sure they are not signed L. Gluck? Larry Gluck was an artist who painted here in the 60's and was quite prolific and very good - he later founded an art school in Calif. - most of his VI paintings are signed just L Gluck - some are rather valuable and all are collectible - you can google some of his images and see if they are a similar style.

Without taking off the backing of the frames, they look like prints to me. They are signed L. Gluck, but look too old to differentiate if it's part of the print, or an actual signature...
They're pretty dern old, and look like they've been in these frames since the 60's, indeed.
Don't know how to download pix, but, again the names of the pictures are-
Young Man and His Dreams
and
Baretta Center Steps
I've been on a few of his websites, and it looks like these are 2 out of a 4 "sister piece" series. The others are also,if not moreso, equally as lovely.
Just happy to have made the find; keeps my heart & belly "sound" as I dream of that wonderful place.
I find it a really neat & fortunate gift, regardless of the actual value, which I'll probably not really investigate anyway. Besides, aside from meeting My Sweet Amy, my "good luck" just isn't what it used to be!
(ok,ok...-maybe I'll poke around a little...

You are indeed lucky - and glad I could help you learn more about them. Baretta Center is now called Royal Dane Mall in STT - the steps look about the same - it is the alley where Gladys' Restaurant is located now.
The true value lies in the enjoyment you get from the images.

True,true...-
Thanks!
Think of me next time you look up those stairs, 'eh?
Gonna' search them out,as well as Gladys' next trip.
That'd be quite a cool full circle type of treasure-!

I did look up those 2 particular titles and would guess what you have are prints - 2 of his most popular ones as well - - hang them and enjoy your lucky find.

Yup, those are the ones.
Thanks for posting the links!
And I misspoke; they're "companion pieces", not sister pieces.
