For all your experienced renters out there, is it standard in the rental contract to say that if they have rental if they can or they refund your money. I think that it is, but just curious before I sign. I am renting Alessandra.
Thanks.

Sorry about that...
this is the wording..." in the event the home reserved becomes unavailable due to it's sale, the manager will make every effort to reserve a similar property
. If similar accommodations cannot be found, a full refund will be given to guest'
Alessandra is for sale as are many of the other properties and manager advised that most often they honor rental agreement so I am not too worried.Should I be?
Thanks.

That is standard rental language. The odds of your having an issue are pretty low. Sometimes I think at least half the houses on St. John are for sale! There are some houses that have been listed for sale since we started visiting in 2003.

Been there before with Time Out. It sold while we had it reserved. The existing bookings were a selling point to the new owners. We had no issues and were treated as valued customers by them.

Augie and ERL are headed to Allesandra today, and we'll join them Thursday. We originally booked Amani, but it was sold. Kathy was great with rebooking.
The owners of Amani refunded our $$ and offered to pay a differential on a similar rental. An owner can't close if there are existing rental contracts. All is good.

Most new owners want the rental contracts as it helps with the sale the only way you would have a problem if the new owners wanted to move in as their home
