Wondering what suggestions y'all have for Thanksgiving dinner on St. John? We aren't sure if we should eat out or bring a turkey breast and cook at the villa? I know there is a regatta in Coral Bay and a dinner at Skinny Legs afterwards. Anyone been there that time of year? Open to all suggestions....

We'll be on island for Thanksgiving this year too. We're hoping that the Thankspiggin' is still on this year. We were talking to Ken Y. in May and he said... maybe. We'll be cooking for that event if it goes on. Otherwise... we'll hit something in Coral Bay.
I've spent a couple of Thanksgivings on Tortola alone. The tradition in Cane Garden Bay is a big buffet, frequently complimentary, and you pay for drinks. It was a great way to celebrate with a big group of locals and visitors.

Is Thankspiggin' the event at Skinnys? If so does everyone cook and bring food to share? That would be so fun!

That's the one... but we're waiting to hear what's up this year.

We Flew in once on thanksgiving day and had dinner at the banana deck when we arrived. For some reason I remember it was chilly and I kept wishing I'd brought a sweatshirt since it was breezy up there. Can't remember why we picked there, unless it was one of the few places open. I don't remember any special thanksgiving themed food, but it's been a few years.
