What can anyone tell me about staying in the Devers Bay area in general and at Island Times in particular? I looked for a villa review but didn't see one. Planning an early August trip with possibility of one other couple joining us.

I stayed on Devers a couple of years ago. It is a very quiet area and easily accessed. I would stay over there again. Island Time does not have beach access to Devers if that is important to you.

WE stayed at Dream Come True on Devers. Did have beach access, pretty good snorkeling. Views are nice. Location is fairly convenient to town.
However have since become spoiled by the views from Catherineberg.

Acces to Devers beach is not important. We'll have a Jeep. How far a drive to North Shore, Leinster, Salt Pond, Haulover?

Here's a review
http://www.virgin-islands-on-line.com/s ... 3543.shtml
It's hard to do a search for it because so many people write how they're on island time and so that gets pulled up frequently but I think trip advisor has some reviews too. It's been on my list but isn't available when we've been able to go.
Hope it works for you

Thanks. That reveiw confirms my gut feeling about the place. It's hard to make a choice when you haven't seen the place or even the location beforehand.
We stayed at Estate Lindholm last trip and loved it, but want a different experience this time.

Yep, its a nice place with a nice setting. Jorge and I checked it out when it was being renovated. I would stay there.

Toni beat me to it, we stayed there and it is a great place. Tried to get in for an upcoming trip, but it was booked already, Maybe next time I will not talk about it!!!
PM me if you have any specific questions, want some photos, I think I even roughed out a floorplan for somebody. Awesome sunset views.

we stayed there this past july. It is a nice villa with a very good view. Close to Cruz Bay. 5 minute drive to st.john market. I think it is a good villa for 1 couple. I agree with the poster who says hard to find reviews because of the name of the villa...I found the same. I will try and get my villa review done soon! I am copying the text about the villa from my trip report:
This villa had two equal bedrooms (with queen beds), one right off the main living area of the house and one in separate cabana connected via the deck. The bathrooms were not equal though. The one in the cabana had a larger shower and double sinks. The one in the main house had a small shower and a single sink. We determined that we should take the bedroom in the house since my husband is up early and he would be likely in the kitchen and doing stuff that could disturb them. THe bedroom door was a louvered door so there was no sound privacy at all between the bedroom and the living area of the villa which was a bummer. You could be involved in any conversation being had in the kitchen or living room with the door closed. In addition the bathroom door in the bedroom there did not close at all...it would always be opened at least 3 inches unless you pushed something against it and even then the door was too big for the door way so it would not close....so no visual privacy or sound privacy since the door was also louvered. The washer dryer was also in the bathroom in this bedroom. The bathroom door did not really close on the other villa either. I was disappointed with the villa because of these items and would not recommend this villa as a 2 bedroom villa to two couples. It is lovely and has an amazing view...with a cool cat. ps the bedroom sliders doors only had sheers as curtains that you could see right through if you were standing on the deck...so if you did not want to be up super early you would need to sleep with the hurricane shutters closed to block the light...not an issue for us but was for the other couple.

Just wanted to add...it felt like a bit of a drive to coral bay/and north shore beaches (i am thinking 15 - 20 mins)..probably 30 mins over to salt pond. We generally stuck with the cruz bay area this trip since it was so convenient and did the NS beaches. The location is just beyond the westin for a frame of reference.
