Here, outside Philly, I'm home by myself and just the cats.
I haven't been in an earthquake since my honeymoon (no jokes).
It was really really scarey!!! All my neighbors ran outside asking what it was.
The house was shaking and at first I thought it may have been gas in the house, like my house was going to explode!
I'm home alone and I'm scared

I don't think it was that strong so far away, and depending on whether you were in a car or moving etc. they can be missed. You definitely finally feel it most if you were sitting still in a home somewhere.

I didn't feel it either. I was at Wal-mart, got in the car and drove about 1/4 mile down the road. By then the phone rings, it is my husband (in NY state right now) and he wants to know if I felt it as our office was really shaking for a couple of seconds. I was less than 2 miles from the office when it happened. My guess is I didn't feel it because the car was moving.
My mom, who lives south of Harrisburg, said it was very noticable at her office.

You normally don't feel a quake if you're driving, but I remember one here in California a number of years ago that was so strong it moved the freeway under the cars and they all changed lanes without trying! I guess they knew then that there was an earthquake!
Thinking of all of you undergoing the "California experience!"
