Just returned from a fabulous week on STJ and took hundreds of pictures of just how fabulous it was.

This morning I was unpacking everything and doing laundry and I wanted to show our boys the pictures from our trip.

Where is the camera?

It was in my backpack!

No camera in backpack!!

We looked everywhere and no camera! I retraced my steps from yesterday and remembered the last picture I took was on the ferry leaving STJ and I don't remember seeing it since!

If I left it on the ferry I might as well kiss it goodbye but sweet hubby said we need to cover every angle. He called the ferry company but no answer. He called the STT airport and TSA. No camera! He called AA lost and found in Dallas and even Orange County where the flight ended up last night and no luck.

He didn't give up and called AA in Miami where we had a connection and guess what?? THEY HAD THE CAMERA!

It must have fallen out of my backpack on the plane! They'll FedEx it on Monday and then I will have more than just memories to live by and you will have a trip report with pictures!! Whew! What a day~~~ Cheers to my dear hubby~

YIKES! if it were here i totally would have gotten it for you--also we are traveling thru Miami on our return--so glad you found it...

Colleen, that is one of the most hair-raising stories I've ever heard. SO HAPPY for you two that the camera has been located!!

BTW, I may PM you for a couple of copies of the pictures you took of the group at the Beach Bar.

Your hubby Kyle should consider a second career as a detective! Good work!

WOW- my stomach was in knots reading that- horror to think even for a second to lose all of your pics! I would have been in tears for sure.

Hero Kyle for saving the day- how awesome is that? Love a happy ending. Can't wait for the TR!!

Yikes!! I just ready your e-mail to me. I would have been freaking. Thank goodness it was found and kudos for Kyle on the detective work!!

Already dreading reentry...only 3 days lefts...working on ways to stay.

So glad you got your camera, Colleen! I would've been beside myself! I need to do a trip report and would like to add pictures, but I am technologically illiterate and don't know how to get my pics on a 3rd party (photobucket, etc) site. Hubby has no patience for me! Anyway, glad you got it back! I know where we'd both probably much rather be!! Sigh!

Thanks for the sympathy and good vibes y'all~

I would have been majorly depressed if my camera was lost forever!! I've learned my lesson and will add permanent contact info on the camera when I get it back in my hot little hands on Tuesday!

The luck of the islands have truly been with me this week since I also lost one of my favorite earrings while snorkeling, but when I hung up my bathing suit to dry, I saw the earring fall on the floor!
