Inspired by the chicken skewer at Foxy's Taboo...

Chicken chests brined in a mix of water, salt, soy sauce, brown sugar, Painkiller mix and some Blind Betty's Pineapple hot sauce for an hour. Cut into cubes and put onto skewers with green pepper, red pepper, yellow pepper, sweet onion, zucchini, yellow squash and pineapple. Brushed with some garlic-infused olive oil and dusted with Cruz Bay Grill Rub and then grilled until done. Served on a grilled pita (brushed with garlic olive oil) and a mango Pico de Gallo.

Ron - ARE YOU FOR HIRE???

You have got to have the prettiest food I have ever seen! If it tastes 1/10th as good as it always looks you are awesome. 8)

How many of these wonderful recipes can we put in the cookbook???? With all these beautiful pics I'm thinking that we may need color!!

Jan (akaCharlie)

P.S. Do you have your villa booked yet??

Clarendon Hill is not that far from Batavia. Keep posting this gorgeous food, and we might just show up for dinner!

Looks great! I got home late from a day-trip and staggered to Turkish restaurant and salved my pain with lamb and wine. Lazy, but tasty.

Cheers, RickG

Kudos Ron!

Badly beats the pizza I had last night - no offense to Mio's - they make a good pie, but those skewers look like the chiznit!

I'm pretty close to Batavia too Ron. When are you having a party and cooking for us all?
Will you be conming to the WI forum party in July?
You can bring food. :D

Okay, I'm giving this a shot. I can't seem to download the picture of our dinner tonight ... it's a secret family recipe BTW, but I may be able to handle dessert. It's not particularly exciting, but everyone here loves it, (banana pudding).
I actually just received my new camera today and I wanted to try it out.
Here goes:

Oh baby! That looks good! I think I love you, KY!

Well... OK... Maybe it's just lust after your banana pudding!

Sea-Nile... At the moment I am planning on coming to the gathering in Madison (I can't plan that far in advance  ). Maybe I can think of something to bring

Chicagoans... If it's as nice on Sunday as the weather-guessers are forecasting, I'll be cooking! Just head west and follow the smoke!

Jan (aka Charlie)... This is a recipe that could be easily made in a villa (although it hasn't been villa-tested) so if you wan tit, let me know. Most of the BBQ stuff really requires slow cooking which wouldn't be easy at a villa, but I may have other grill recipes that would work (like my award-winning brat-kebabs)
