STJ sticker on car - LOL

So, I'd just finished getting my hair colored, highlighted, lowlighted and lighted some more, why of why does this all have to take so long, followed by a cut and blowdry. So after this hour and a-half process, the hairdresser says, I hope you have an umbrella, it's pouring out. No, of course I don't, never have one. So, I'm running across the parking lot to my car and the car parked behind mine has what looks like, from afar, a STJ sticker on the rear window. You know I had to turn around and run back to see for sure. Yes, it was. Now I'm soaked and thinking wow, there's another STJ lover that lives close by and maybe I should wait until someone comes to the car or would they think I was just plain crazy. Of course they'd think I was crazy. Aaah, STJ, always on my mind!

As a fellow "highlighter" and "blow-out" -er that ends up taking TWO HOURS :? every 10 weeks, only one thing crosses my mind. Why is it we can't really B-AS-UR??

Really...between the hair, nails, tweezing and waxing -- it is exhausting!! Do our men really appreciate it? They better!! Reminds me I need to hit hubby up for a 2nd trip to STT/STJ this year :P

Maybe not the unibrow...

I bought an STJ sticker for my car at St. john Spice but my wife won't let me put it on  . I guess I should just cowboy-up and do it. 8)

It's been nice knowing all of you...

I've only seen one STJ car sticker around here and it was on a vehicle that cut me off! All I could think was "Geez, lady, you need to get back to the island and RELAX!" Sheesh!

We bought an actual license plate from a peddler when we were there (probably illegal). We have a license plate collection. It just happened to have my initials (with my maiden name). TAT.

As far as the make-up thing. I use to never wear any and after the age of 40 I decided I'd better wear a little or I will scare people away. I hate dying my hair but I hate the grey too. I'm pretty low maintenance and now my daughter has to teach me how to put on make-up.

I agree that my husband may be ok with my grey hair and short nails but I think he would keep the waxing. Of course that's the one thing I could really do without! That S*** hurts!

That's too cool- I would think the people with the stickers would be the ones you all describe as "getting it." I work with a guy that went to STJ a couple years ago and he's just like "eh, it was nice." ????#U@*&#!!?? What's that about? :)

Also, I'm a fellow highlight/lowlighter and I really do think it's just to make ourselves feel better- which is totally why I'll keep doing it. :)

When I came out of the nail salon a few weeks ago, a woman had just parked her car across from mine and was getting some stuff out of it. I saw she had a St. John t-shirt on, so (thinking of all the friendly STJ-addicted people I've met here on the forum) I said, "Hey! St. John!" She just glared at me, nodded and stuck her head back into her car to get something else out.

Guess she just doesn't "get it."
