We are less than 2 weeks away from our long anticipated "Twins Turn Teens" trip, a graduation present BDay gift to my sister and her kids. You might recall that my DH has some health issues and was hospitalized in May. We thought the problem was solved but other symptoms have arisen and when we saw the Dr today he scheduled a scope for next Thursday. That is less than one week from our intended departure.
I have been begging my DH to get to the Dr about this but he was dragging his feet. I am beside myself with worry. My sister cannot make the trip without us as she does not see well enough to drive at night. Additionally, we have rented from the agency several times before so they were able to waive the age requirements at the house for me. This is the very first time in all of our trips that I did not take trip insurance, as it starts getting very expensive when the oldest member of the party turns a certain " well past prime' age, which happened earlier this year.
I am worried for my DH, and hope not to be heartbroken for the kids. Please pray for an outcome that allows us to make the trip and deal with whatever is going on later in the summer.

Just went through the same thing last month but luckily with the travel insurance, kids were and still are disappointed trying to get better so we can return. Good luck,Good health and sending some prayers your way

I can certainly understand your anxiety. With health issues, I was hoping June 2011 would happen and it did. Living in six month intervals until your next check up puts a different spin on life. Even if you don't get to go this time, plan for next time. The kids will be disappointed but they will be ok. Good thoughts coming your way for a positive outcome for S/O. Thinking of you.....
