Review of Cruz Views 1

We stayed 1 week in Cruz Views 1 in June. We found it quite adequate for 2 people or 2 adults and children. It was small, but well laid out. The styling was slightly out of date, but it was clean and comfortable. We had no problems with noise. One evening there was a Meeting with lots of cars at the Kingdom Hall across the street, but that was over before 10 PM and there were no more meetings the rest of the week. There was also a celebration wiht the Pan Dragons, that had we not been showered and dressed for bed we would have attended, that we could hear, but again it was over at 10 PM. The pool and pool deck is a downhill hike, but is clean and very nice. We used the grill area, and it also is a major hike down, and up, the hill. The bed was OK. The pillows were lumpy. We felt the kitchen was under equipped but again, everything worked and it was clean. We liked the price, the private deck, the AC, the comfort of the living room, and the pool, proximity to town, and convenient parking. We did not like the pillows, the kitchen was under equipped, and the bathroom needed serious updating, the walk to the grill and the pool. The view was not super either. We have always had a major view and the view of the construction site (Sirenusa), the car barge, and the more industrial side of town were not great. We did however have a water view and a view of St. Thomas. We have been at Maho, Orion’s Hill, and Adeste, all with amazing views. The price was really good for 2 people (Under $900-with taxes), but when they add on the extra for each extra person we don’t feel it is such a good deal (considering the size, view, proximity to the pool and grill etc.) if you have extra people. If I were going back to STJ again, with just the two of us, and wanted to go on the cheap, I would stay there again. The condo has new owners, who are going to renovate. This could cause the rent to increase, and Caribbean Villas are not sure if they will even be putting it on the rental market again. I am including pictures. Sadly I did not get pictures of the Bedroom, bathroom, or pool.

Great review and pics. Glad you enjoyed CV 1 and I appreciate your honest thoughts on the unit and surrounding area. :)

Thanks for the review. We are enjoying your trip reports! I see that Caribbean Villas has CV1 blocked out completely. This must be for the renovations or the new owners do not plan to rent it out.
