I know I can get pates from Hercules and johnny cake from Vies, but would also like to get goat water and some whelks and rice. Where on STJ or STT can I find these? Did Hercules rebuild on the same spot where he was before? Would also like to check out some of the food trucks. Thanks, Laura

Check out Sogos in Cruz Bay too. Its a small place with great West Indian food. You get several sides with the meals. My husband loves the curried goat and I have Shrimp Creole (or some name like that). We always go there when on STJ.

Take the road opposite The Star Fish grocery store. If you drive about 30 seconds you will see a truck selling food with a table area for you to sit on the right. It is the most delicious food! He was there last year, so I hope he still is. We can't wait to go back.

Sheila's Pot is the absolute BEST! And she's a really neat lady. She was located in front of the gazebo as you get off the ferry, but has been displaced because of the construction at the park. I hope she is back by the time I get there!

hello Coden
Don't know exactly what time he is open. I would say he is not a morning person. WE have only been there for lunch, but he definitely is there for dinner as well. Every time we have been there,he was taking a nap, just waiting for customers. A really nice, interesting guy. Can't wait to go back, has been a year, so I hope he is still there.

Are you talking about A Taste of Love City Mobile Kitchen located across from the car barge entrance area??? Anyhow, they have local food and they are there for breakfast and lunch (but serving mostly lunch kind of food).
P & P by the Sea, on Moorehead Point (drive down past Frank Bay and up the hill again to reach them) is amazing. This is my husband's favorite spot for conch, and he knows conch! (he's a pescetarian West Indian)
Shela still doesn't have her spot back

Hopefully soon. The park renovations are not complete, but they should be soon and hopefully she will be back in her old spot.
And if you are ever going through the roundabout in town, and smell something tasty, that might be Etta cooking at the little pavilion right there. Her food is pretty amazing as well.
One more spot, on Fridays, the church across from Connections, has been serving up lunch. I've been there several times in the recent months and the food is very good.

Thnx Stjohnjullie - I've made a note of the places you've mentioned. One thing is for sure, there are plenty of places for every type of pallet on STJ!

What does Tony serve at Gift Hill-Centerline intersection?
Has anyone ever ventured to that "meat market" over by the Spraque library/St. John Inn? I drove by once and it looked like a converted shipping container.

Juliette serves up delicious roti and other local food at Sputniks - her kitchen is currently closed due to remodeling, but the new stove soon come. Wonderful lady.
