Can you make an 8:00 am flight???

Is it possible to make the 8:00 american flight to Maimi without staying on st Thomas?

Most folks would probably say no, but we've done it with no checked luggage and pre-printed boarding passes.

I would say no - I have been on the 6am many, many a time and have arrived at the airport anywhere from 6:55am to 7:20am and remember you are not flying if you are not fully checked in (and that means at the counter with bags tagged) 1 hour prior to departure - too close for me but if I was already checked in with carry on only I would risk it - no way if I had to check luggage.

You can absolutely do it if you have a private ferry. We've been going that the last few times. It's pricey but worth every penny.

Thanks Jumbiegirl for the suggestion. I am staying at Caneel Bay last part of trip and they have arranged for a 5;00 am water taxi! I should be fine! leaving tonight - YIPPEE

We've done it. Used to be that the airport didn't even open until 7:00 or 7:30 a.m. (off season) so the flight never took off on time. One year we did stay the night in STT.
