Mid Life Crisis #8

May 7th.Up @ 5:30 again.Missed the 10:30 Maho shuttle,and was bummed out!Today is jeep day & I wanted it bad{or maybe the feet wanted it}So I snorkeled from Little to Big Maho again.I returned to the shuttle area and noticed guests arriving.But then I took a closer look,no there not guests,it's Stanley Selengut,his wife, and management.I could'nt help myself I had to say hello!So I did.Stanley shook my hand and we talked about the lease and the future of Maho.I told him that I hated to see it go,and what a wonderful place it is.Soon the 12:15 taxi came in and I was off to Cruz Bay.Picked up the jeep and drove over to Serendip Condo's.I planed a tour so that I could tell my wife how I felt about it.{It might be our "crib" next time}After that I drove to Lameshure and hiked{poor feet} to Uropia Bay overlook & Bay.Great views and rugged beauty.I snorked there,didn't see a whole lot,but it was interesting. I had a hard time getting out of the water.I drove back to the Westin & walked the grounds,I love this place!It's where the wife & I spent our honeymoon back in '94.I returned to maho and was interviewed by a prof.& 2 students from the University of Michigan.They were trying out a pilot program on hotel management.It was great to see some Michiganders there!The pic is of the old stone bridge near Maho.I've been trying to find this since the last trip in 2007.Yep I found it!
