As many of you know, I was involved in the Dancing Classrooms program here on St John and some of you that were on island for the big finale even came to watch the competition. I just noticed they had posted the competition on youtube and thought you might like to watch some of our St John 5th graders compete - I hope you enjoy

That was great, Pia. I loved seeing how shy the kids were at the beginning, and then blossoming into the little dancers they became. They deserve a big pat on the back.

I loved that; so inspiring, such a gift to work with kids like that..it looks like everyone had a grand time.

We loved being there and are hoping to be there again this year if the timing is right!
The children were wonderful and it was touching to see the whole island represented!

Awww! Brought tears to my eyes...we had ballroom dance in my elementary school (back in the Dark Ages), and I remember all too well the shyness, dread and then the pure fun of dancing! It was a wonderful video and experience for the great kids of St. John. Thanks for sharing it.

I have never heard about Dancing Classrooms before.
What a great idea! Every child should learn to dance. I'm sure it will help them later in life. So funny to see very different children dance together.

so cool....really enjoyed watching them go through that experience! Again, I believe it takes a community to raise a child and these children have a wonderful community supporting them! YAY!
