23 days till we leave for trip number 5 to St John. Our last trip was May 2009 and it was a very rainy week. Its been raining here in Pa for what seems like forever and I am dreaming about the warm water and sunshine. My question when does everyone actually start to pack!! It seems ridiculous but I am ready to start putting things in that suitcase !!!

I'd have packed up my quart sized bag of liquids by now and figured out my clothes. Depending on the weather here, clothes might be ready too! I say go for it... we've had so much rain here too, and record cold, yuck!

Too early to pack? Never!! Our suitcases are out, packed with our snorkel gear and our Forum beach bag. We are ready. Enjoy your countdown!!

Definitely not too early...haven't actually put anything in a bag yet, but we leave a day after you and we started setting stuff aside for the trip last weekend...particularly stuff like snorkel gear that we typically only use when we're on STJ and can never seem to remember where we keep it as well as those things like a cork screw or koozie or iPod adaptor or machete

that you never seem to remember when you pack at the last minute.

And this will sound crazy, but my wife and I like to pack one bag to check on and actually take it to the post office to weigh it to make sure it's right under 50 pounds.

It's never too early to get packing. All my clothes are ready to be put in a suitcase. They have been since we got back from our last trip in Dec.

I dont think its to early to pack..we just got back from a trip yesterday and Ive already gotten somethings together...I didnt even put away the luggage. But I had a few things together before we left..(snorkel gear..etc.)..I will just toss my STJ pile in and of course I always make a dont forget list..and try to remember where my list is..lol

We arrive the same day you do and I have everything for my quart size bags laid out and hubby has some of his clothes laid out. So heck no it's not too early!!!

Seasister, too funny! I always drink when I pack, it makes it more fun. Then I go back the next day and take out half of what I thought was a good idea!

Well - If you all are starting maybe I should too well at least the drinking part - that can be fun!

This is our family's first trip and I keep changing my mind on carryon and taking one suitcase and packing snacks for us and the kids - Maybe if I start packing that will help! Do you all do carryon or just pack a suitcase?????
