Just to let everyone know that the CA ferry has been cancelled until further notice
so the only ferry is the Red Hook ferry.
Hope this helps in your planning if you are arriving anytime soon.

That is going to make the RH ferry a nightmare. I may not make the 4:00 tomorrow.

What the hell???? No CA ferry. Pia, are you messing with us?
That's crazy. I don't really care - red hook or CA - but having both running surely lightened the load for either. And its totally gonna screw the shopping thing for folks who want to get the CA and hop off shop and hop back on w/o the taxi thing.

didn't this happen last year or am I thinking of something else? could it be a "seasonal" thing?

Now I'm feeling real good about spending the extra $$$$ for Dohm's to pick me up next Saturday when I arrive. The ferry's going to be CRAZY!!! It will definetly affect my shopping day though.

Jorge - like I would do such a thing, what kind of girl do you think I am - OK don't answer that
Anyway, no reason has been given and no time frame for it to start up again
It does usually happen but not until much later in the season, around August September time so maybe it is just a very temporary thing and it will be back to "normal" soon. I'll let you all know when I hear anything.

Too bad! The CA ferry was always our preference. I guess it's a good thing we're renting a car in STT this time.
