It is on a tree just off our villa's deck. We have not determine what kind of tree yet.
We also found the "exploding" tentacles stuck all over out car.

No, it's not a sea grape tree. The leaves are similiar in texture to sea grape leaves, but the shape is different.

That looks like limber caper, really more of a vine than a tree. It's related to the capers you buy in little jars--those are the pickled flower buds of a Mediterranean cousin. This is a night- bloomer, pollinated by moths, like a lot of other West Indian plants.
