Best way to get around without a car?

We have always rented a car in the past but this time I am doing my next trip with out a car. I'd like to head to Maho, Coral Bay, and Francis while I;m there, but need to figure out a ride.
Can someone point me in the right direction? Can we take a bus to Maho or can we taxi it to Maho and have them come back and pick us up in a couple of hours? Not sure the best way to get around.
Is there a bus that runs everyday, where do you catch it and any idea the cost?
Thank you

The bus is $1.00 pp but does not go to any North Shore beaches - Centerline Rd to Coral Bay, out to Saltpond and return. Runs from town at 6am, 7am, and then 20 past hour every hour last one at 7:20pm BUT (especially in off season but even this year in season) very unreliable - for about 3 months we were down to one bus so it ran every 2 hours, last week I waited 3 hours for one, and more often than not it will take a break mid morning to late afternoon or not come back on at all - all without notice.

Pia,
Thank you...
What about doing a taxi to say Maho and then see if they will come back in like 4 hrs to pick us up? Is that a possibilty?
Thanks again

After you add up the cost of all the taxi rides and downtime, you'll wish you got the car. Been there.

I know that Frett's taxi runs a regular service out to Maho. I've not used him going to Maho but have used him returning from Maho. He does have a schedule posted (one at Cinnamon Bay for certain).
Not sure if hitching is an option for you but that's how I typically get around the Island unless it's evening then I depend on a taxi.
