Intruder at Cruz Views

Blaine is sleeping in today, so I've been up at the pool, surfing on the iPad. Unit 2, where we're supposed to move tomorrow, had an intruder last night! He didn't get indoors, just into their patio, where he was discovered. He got away.
We're going to call Caribbean Villas, or go there, when Blaine gets up, but I'm pretty nervous about moving there, now!

Please let us know more info if it comes available...
What are your thoughts in general of Cruz Views? Like the price but not the thought of uninvited guests.
We are looking for something in that price range in July. Hopefully it was a rare thing...

Would be hard to relax, but at least maybe you will be more on guard. Keep things locked up extra, valuables out of sight, etc....Hope the rest of your stay is great!

Yes, there was a family there. I overheard her calling Caribbean Villas saying they were going to leave early and telling them the story. Curtis came right over.
C.V. Was WONDERFUL when we went in! They were willing to look for somewhere else for us, but I just asked if they could do something to keep a would-be intruder out, like something to jam the sliders with, and they were very kind and accommodating. There are now sliding door jams at unit 2 AND in our unit! All set up when we got back.
Problem solved! I just want to be able to go to sleep and know no one can get in. I'm very happy with Sunny and C.V.

Oh, yes, we are religious about keeping everything locked up!
Stjohnchica, we like Cruz Views. It's simple, not fancy, but that's fine for us.

Minde,
This sounds like it was the best resolution possible. I'm glad they reacted to your concerns. Enjoy the rest of your trip. Pictures... please!

I am sorry to hear about an intruder, if it helps, we stayed at Cruz Views #3 summer before last and had an intruder trying to get in about 2:00 am one night, turns out it was our neighbor from unit 4 who had too much rum! Thought he was in his own unit.
We also like it there, value in low season cannot be beat. Last time we stayed I think we paid $112 a night? Unbelievable value, the Days Inn in Traverse City, MI is twice that in summer.

When we got home yesterday, we found that Sunny had made those poles to lock the glass sliders. He'd put them in our unit (8) as well! We're in unit 2 now, and they've also installed an alarm system. Caribbean Villas has been just great!

Had been told last time to keep everything locked as break ins were happerning in the area but none at CV yet. That was last fall sounds like breakins are on the rise. Glad you are ok, Sunny is a great guy. Glad to hear you are fine enjoy your trip

Just wondering if there has been any sign of Dickhead around. That sure doesn't sound good to someone new to the board

It just isn't going to be the same on our CV visits without that little guy around

No dickhead
BUT there is a really sweet little female, just a doll baby, who the people here right now are calling Mae. She's very friendly, but in a less demanding way than Dickhead was
