The lady that owns the villa we rent is a hoot. She usually calls me shortly before our trips and just talks for an hour or so. Last time I talked to her she told me to "be careful when using the telescope." Apparently, she had just witnessed a couple on a boat performing a particular sex act for over an hour (obviously, she kept checking back otherwise she's have never known how long it lasted.... ). I am not sure what amazed her more, the act itself or the fact that it lasted over an hour! Anyway, I have personally never seen anything more interesting than a pelican eating a fish.

What is the most interesting thing you've seen with a villa telescope?

One must be very very careful, as I believe you are entering dangerous territory. Remember some of the players here, especially Jorge/Horhay and Pete, amongst others, I suspect.

While not terribly interesting, we saw a number of weddings at Hawksnest in the two years we rented on the North Shore. Most of the ladies wore traditional (full skirts and trains) wedding dresses, which sort of surprised me.

I've not seen anything "interesting" with a telescope. I have my own memories to keep me entertained.

But I will keep an eye peeled. Mr Cypressgirl is getting a little older now. I may need a telescope.

Well, I can't say that I've ever used a villa telescope, but...

On our honeymoon in Jamaica, we were getting a little "amorous" on our oceanfront balcony when we saw a boat sitting standstill out on the bay. Upon closer inspection, THEY were having a pretty darn good time with their binoculars. Embarrassing!!

As far as villa telescopes or binoculars are concerned, I'm glad it was a lot easier to see OUT from our villa than for others to see IN, since we were up high on a hill unless someone was peering down from a helicopter or satellite it would have been pretty difficult to see much! Of course if anyone had been spying on our villa, they must've been pretty bored to begin with ...

My wife did spot a guy skinny-dipping from the pocket beach in front of his villa. Nothing much exciting about it.

Ok we were staying in a villa on Chocolate Hole saw a couple swimming around the boats that are moored there they climb up on one and lay on the back deck in the sun well the next thing you know they are real friendly and don't have any clothes on and are having a good time. When they are done they get back in the water and swim away. I don't think they even owned the boat.

I can't even imagine how drunk I'd have to be to try that one!! Mr. Cypressgirl would probably have no problem. Shameless man

Wow I'm jealous, all we ever see with our binoculors are empty villas, boats and birds! I guess I either don't look in the right spots or long enough!

There were 10 of us staying in five huts on the water in Moorea. We looked across the water to the shore to another hut and on the deck the towels were flapping in the wind. We got quite a show of what was behind the towels. The funny thing is while we were waiting for a taxi to take us to dinner this couple came up to us and asked us where we were going to dinner. They came with us. They sat across from me and I had the hardest time keeping a straight face.
