Rented a Dodge Durango through Paris for our June trip. I called back to ask about a rental confirmation and he told me all I needed was the confirmation # (which he gave me). Should I feel uneasy about not having a faxed confirmation?

I wouldn't worry about it. The car rental companies on the island don't do business the way we do in the states. They tend to be very informal.

I was freaked out on my first trip because they didn't ask for every piece of personal info that Avis, National, etc... asks for - but everything was fine.

This has been a tough year for trip planning!

We used Paris in November, very informal, made me a little nervous too...but absolutley no problems. Nice vehicle, courteous,they came in before the break of dawn to get us on the first ferry.
