He deserved what he got. Shame on them, for bothering the eels! I hope that this video reminds people to leave the wild life alone!

Oh that gave me the willies. Not sure what was worse, the audio when the thumb is bitten, or the "toe as new thumb" images.

A dive teacher once told me about a guy who was feeding fish while diving. He had tucked the food into the collar of his wet suit and pulled off small bits to feed the fish. Well, some hungry fish (barracuda, I think) went and grabbed the food tucked in his collar. Only it didn't just get the food, it got the guy's neck too and severed his carotid. He didn't make it. (I don't know if this is story is true, but it certainly could happen.) So, like you say, respect the wildlife. Especially wildlife with teeth.
