Trip report 2011 STJ I'll think of a name later

Forgive me Father for I have sinned. It has been my second trip in two weeks to the cosmetic sample heaven better known as Sephora in a vain yet futile attempt to acquire the magical product which will diminish those not so fine lines appearing with increased frequency. In order to look my best, which is, truth be told, not exactly remarkable I go to extraordinary lengths. No small task any day but 2:30am on Sunday morning on April 17 after the most ridiculously stressful work week of the year and 2 (I think?) vacation prep martinis the task seems herculean. What explains this deviant exercise? You know. I know you know.
Apart from family, travel is the great love of my life and I treat preparations for thus seriously. The plan is to greet that 3:30am pick up to Boston’s Logan Airport-
A-feeling put together with the help of recently acquired o hair and skin care travel samples and a carefully chosen travel ensemble which no one but I will care about or, for that matter, notice
B- fully packed and organized forgetting nothing and
C- calm, cool and anxiety free. Is that too much to ask?
No one needs or wants to know the impossibile lengths necessary to achieve A, let alone B or C, but since recording these experiences have become not only my version of therapy but a personal snapshot of our life to which I refer when I feel time is traveling faster than necessary I’ll soldier on. Fell free to come along or simply fast forward to photos. Full disclosure; brevity is not in my DNA and Tom Wolfe I ain’t.
DAY 1
2:30 am is early for me. Even with my recently acquired Sephora stash the getting ready process is too volatile to attempt at that hour so I get the hair out of the way the night before. I’ll just have to sleep sitting up.

We’re good to go!
United out of Logan 5:45am on time- friendly and smooth as glass. Change in Dulles with short delay due to radio mal function and we’re on our way! Arrive in STT around 12:30 and to Rd Hook for the 2:00 ferry. Easy peasy.
Lisa from Vista picks us up and we stop by Courtesy for our car. Nice kids there. We follow Lisa to Argonauta. We stayed here years ago on a family trip with family and we were 8 and have dreamed of it ever since. Lisa is great efficient and a wealth of knowledge.
So we’re hangin at the pool thinkin about doing absolutely nothing or something. Nobody saw my sandscript. It said 99 + 2. #1 son is in college now and had to make his Monday classes so he will join us Tuesday through Sunday. Better than nothing. My brother will join us from Nashville Wednesday. Argonauta has been updated since we were here last and is great.
If you’ve ever come along on one of my trip reports you know that we’ve had our share of drama. Forgotten, lost and stolen items being the star of those shows. None of that this time I say. Knock on wood. #2 son helped with last years report but I think we abandon it somewhere along the way.
