Reading the grocery question got me thinking... a couple of questions entered my mind. Isn't Cost U Less the good grocery to get the best prices on STT? Arnt they a club where you have to be a member? I know about the Ferry and may think about doing a STT car rental. We are almost newbies since this next trip is the first one we have planned, thanks to Greyhoundmom, and are still learning our way around.

This at Cost U Less as a mini Costco or Sam's Club. No membership is required and they take credit cards. Right on the way to Red Hook.
2 weeks ago we stopped first there then at the Food Center in Red Hook to round out our groceries. Later in the week we hit Starfish and the places in Coral Bay as needed. If you are in the Coral Bay side try a new place "Cases by the Sea" for beer...
We had frozen foods with us so at Cost U Less our order consisted mostly of bottled water, beer by the case, G2 by the case, wine (much better prices that STJ, chips etc. They do sell frozen foods however.
It's so easy to stop - some people also like to stop at KMart but we sound the combination of Cost u Less and Food Center to work for us. Food Center is 2X the size of anything on STJ - like standard small grocery.

Thanks, sounds good. We will have to save all we can next year with extra mouths to feed.
