Hi All and Happy Friday!
We are going to be arriving on St Thomas in Januray at 4:15. I beleive we would not make the Red Hook 5pm ferry? we will need to get of the plane, get luggage, then taxi to red hook? if the stars are aligned that day, maybe? My thought is, should we wait for Charlotte Amalie at 5:30? or Red Hook at 6pm? Any suggestions would be awesome! Thanks so mcuh....

Others may have better advice, but I would relax, have a drink, and catch the 5:30 at CA..

I agree, plan on the later 5:30 CA or 6:00 RH ferry instead of trying to rush. Unless it's the last ferry of the day, I like to start on island time once I land at the airport!

imho, no way you'll be able to make the red hook 5 pm. Enjoy a drink and take one of the later ones!

Yeah, no way you will make the 5pm Red Hook.

And depending on how long it takes to get your luggage even making the 5:30 CA might be tight.

Just check your watch and ask the taxi captain what he thinks you will make.

Keep in mind that the CA ferry has ZERO amenities. There's only a small bench and minimal cover.

The Red Hook ferry has more creature comforts.

The CA ferry is a short taxi ride and a long ferry ride.

Whereas Red hook is a long taxi ride and a short taxi ride.

Costs pretty much even out.

Either way, you will get to STJ at approx 6:15 - 6:20 no matter which option you choose.
