If you can't find someone flying to Hartford or Albany, I live in Syracuse. Anyone flying to Syracuse-I can pick up the pup and arrange to get it to new owners.

depending on when , and if the puppy parents want to make the trip --i could pick up a puppy at LGA or JFK.... putting this here so that anyone who is making the trip can PM me and we can contact the shelter to see if that works--on another lovely note--the dog that was hanging for weeks at salt pond now has a new home in the states.....

There were two dogs at Salt Pond and obviously a "couple". Did they get split up?

Joppa, this dog was a young female--as far as i know she was reportedly on her own (no other dog around).

I was there several times in February and there was 2 dogs. Often one would be on the beach, and the other would come from the Salt Pond direction, and they would go off together into the bush behind the beach.

I trooo wsa there several timesin february and only saw the one--
apparently this dog was known to the ranger, and had an owner who wasnt taking proper care of her. --my understanding is that the ranger contacted the owner and explained that the dog was being take to the ACC and that the owner could pick the dog up there--the dog was left at the ACC for a week and then released to the person who wanted to adopt her.

Loria it appears there may be 3 dogs near Salt Pond that are not being properly cared for by there owners. I can only hope that the other 2 steal someones heart and that they too get to go to a new home.
