How do I post a scanned image?

A while back, someone posted a scanned image of grocery receipt. How do I do that? I want to add it to my Anguilla trip report in the OT forum.
I have a scanner at work (in our copier) but I rather clueless when it comes to this stuff.

can you scan and save as a .jpg file? then upload as you would any other photo.

Hmmm...when I tried to change file type, it goes to a .tif file. I can't seem to change it to a .jpg. I will try it from home.

you might be able to save as .tif then open that image and save as .jpg
maybe .. not sure.
