If you're curious about the birds on St. John...

The National Park Service has a pretty nice web site that has a bird checklist and a photo gallery. I'm a birder, and I always get the NPS checklists when I travel. They give a list of birds you might find, and their relative abundance based on the season. If you pick up a hard copy at the park they make a nice souvenir.

Just thought others might be interested in that.

(For what it's worth they have info on fish and stuff too, but us birders are into listing...lol.)

Cool link - thanks for that.

I'm not a birder and I always have a chuckle, internal or otherwise, when I point out a Booby when in St. John. :D

Thank you fellow birder. I wonder if I send a self adressed envelope if the park service will send those to me prior to my trip.

That's a great site, we used it several times in December!

Good information. Thank you!

My wife and I always bring the binos to St. John. There's good birding on the pond next to Francis Bay, and it's fun to watch the Frigate and White-tailed Tropicbirds fly near the Ram's Head cliffs.

Any other good spots for birding?
