Question for the folks that have been there recently - Are they serving any of the beers from the new brewery yet? I'm interested in the varieties and any comments regarding the quality.

Cheers, RickG

Not yet. VI Pale Ale is being brewed at a brewery in Maine based on their recipe and shipped to STJ in kegs and bottles. When we were there on Saturday Kevin and Cheech were getting ready to do the first batch of their new Summer Ale, which will be the first beer brewed in the new equipment on the island.

They so have a Snack Bar (a rack with a few bags of chips) but that's it. Ocean Grill is downstairs and Paradiso is across the courtyard so food is in the area if you need it :)

Don't forget the Deli Grotto downstairs at Mongoose. Dan and crew do a great job.

Ya, Deli Grotto Italian Sub and some beers would be nice.

We're going to stop in and check out the brewery, likely bringing some homebrews for the brewers.

Ding ding ding! Mary Beth wins! (For your prize, please send $5 for shipping and handling  )

What is really funny is that our waiter at Cafe Roma told us that his brother works at Shipyard Brewery. I wonder if that's how Cheech and Kevin hooked up with them.

we spend quite a bit of time with the Shipyard brews when we are in Maine a few times a year ;)
Charlie was quite surprised to read that VI Pale Ale was brewed up there!
