Hubby's 50th on STJ!

The love of my life and I will celebrate his 50th birthday and our 27th wedding anniversary in our most favorite place in the world!
The villa, Vista Cielo, is booked!
First Class air is booked!
Trip insurance is paid for!
We haven't stayed on island since 2007 so I am looking suggestions for provisioning for the week as well as a private chef for one special evening.
Also, considering renting the car on STT instead of STJ for the first time. In the past we have rented on STJ. Looking for feedback on the pros and cons (other than price ) of renting on STT and taking the car barge. DH is a logistics expert in real life so he is all about the car barge
Would love to get to Jost for a day ... ideas?
We were last on STJ in August for dinner at ZoZo's during our week stay at the Ritz on STT. Can't wait to get back there for a special dinner.
Looking for any other thoughts and ideas to make this truly a trip of a lifetime for my beloved!

My husband celebrated my 50th on St John with my closest friends and family invited. We suggest Mathayom as best private chef.
We did girls spa day at the villa, I might suggest a couple massage at the villa, I have a great masseuse on island but I don't have her number with me at the moment. The husbands did a deep fishing trip during our spa day.
I had my birthday at Waterfront Bistro because it is my favorite on island.
We did a night snorkel with Colette Diede
http://www.6paqscuba.com/ She is fabulous, love her!!! She is also great with beginner day dives!!!
We did a catamaran over Xmas on "Bad Kitty" with our family, so much fun, we rented out the boat for the day, but they take out groups everyday and it might be a fun way to go to the Baths, Jost, Norman, Cooper Islands etc.
My husband is an experienced power boatsman, and he always enjoys tooling around the USVI and BVI's on a Nauti Nymph boat or one of the Westin boats.
A man and a motor, well you know
Otherwise just hang and enjoy St John and each other!!!

PS Capt Brandi and his boat comes highly recommended, although I haven't gone out with him before. He is a Forum Favorite!!! We have always had too large a group.

Thanks so much Betty!
Love the idea of a couples' massage at the villa.
Will Google the chef you suggested!
DH loves to sail but he also loves jet skis so I suspect a boat with a motor will work as well!
Counting the days!

JSL- Congratulations on your Anniversay and your husbands birthday. I can't think of a better way to celebrate

We rent our car in STT from a wonderful company, Amalie Car Rental. Vehicles are all brand new and you can take the to STJ. Highly recommend!! We have our unit provisioned by Villa Foods. Use to be owned and operated by Ali Wehrham but my sources tell me she sold it to one of her employees and it is being run just the same. I plan on using them in March.. and as previously mentioned, Capt John comes highly recommended for a day charter to the BVI. Again, we are using him for the first time in March but are looking very forward to it as I aure he will not disappoint. Have a wonderful time planning, aside from spending time on STJ, it's my second favorite thing to do!!

Mazel tov!
Had the best meal we've ever had on island with chefs from Mathayom! Pricey, but worth every penny.

For couple massages, can recommend Barb and CAry

Enjoy!

Thanks byado 18 and fins up!
Villa Foods looks like it might be our ticket for provisioning ... although I must admit there are several lunch and dinner destinations on Hubby's list
Going to look into sailing with Captain John.
Have poked around on St. John's Catering site ... and I think we are definitely going to go this route. The decision will be how many courses:D
Appreciate the lead on the couple's massage. Hubby is learning to enjoy the art of massage.
So appreciate the suggestions and leads! The trip can't come fast enough (especially since our only child graduates from high school two days before we leave for Hubby's favorite place in the world.)

We seem to have a lot in common!! We are heading down for Spring Break with our youngest who graduates in a couple months. Our first trip to STJ ,we stayed at Vista Cielo and had an amazing stay there!! We are going out with Captain John this trip, a first for us (though we have had the pleasure of meeting him several times before) to celebrate our son's 18th birthday!! we cannot wait. Did I miss when you will be on island?
wishing you and your husband an amazing trip! happy birthday! Congrats on the anniversary and graduation!!
