Sam and Jacks Deli is calling themselves a "Gourmet Comfort Food To Go" Deli, Open Tuesday - Sunday 10am-7pm 340-714-3354 It is on the 3rd floor of The Marketplace in the old "Baked in the Sun" location. It is owned by ZoZo's I believe!

We had lunch today and it was excellent! We had a 1/2 lb hot pastrami on Rye with Spicy Brown Mustard, very tender and lean.

The "Mean Jean" is a Large Hot Meatball Sub with marinara, mozzarella and provolone cheeses. The meatballs are excellent and homemade! Sub roll crusty sauce just spicy enough! Fabulous!!!!

All of the sandwiches are large and range between $9-$10
Home made chips, Home made pickles and salads are extra $1-$3.00 Did not try but looked good!
We also shared a pint of Roast Turkey soup, excellent $5.00

All of the sandwich meats are house roasted.

We had St John Root Beer on Tap

They have a variety of entree salads
Strombolis, Lasagne, Eggplant parm, pastas and sauces, homemade Ice Cream, deserts and cookies, we did not try but looked good

Prices are good for St John and the quality excellent, you can call ahead to order for take out!

It's funny to see foods named afetr people I have actually met, like Mean Jean. Cracks me up!

It sounds like a great place to stop and get something on the way to the villa, first day on-island. Thanks Betty!

P.S. Need pictures of the house!

have to go for the lasagna and the stromboli. i was there yesterday afternoon and the chef was rolling out pasta on the large butcher block. Cool to watch. Bought some and brought it home with a jar of sauce.

Iowa Guy - where is the facebook page? I could not find it
