Let's hope not since I just bought our tickets for the first week! We went through Earl last year, but it was the very end of August. Hopefully we will not revisit that adventure. Great deal on airfare - $300 R/T from Los Angeles. Now to find a villa with full A/C and on the Cruz Bay side. Have stayed at Argonauta before and we might again, but I would like to try somewhere new if it had the A/C, pool, and a sunset view. Any ideas?? 3 or 4 bedrooms and kid friendly a must. Taking the 2 yr old. Yay I can get a new ticker!!

$300.00 R/T?? Whoa! That is good. Can't even find that low price from Dallas!

You might give Lisa at Vacation Vistas a call, she has a couple of nice villas on the Cruz Bay side that are fully A/C and kid friendly. 8) 8)

Cocotier is looking like the front runner at the moment due to all the good reviews and reports. Anybody know if La Papaya has wi-fi?

August - hurricane season = trip insurance
WiFi or Ac will be of no consequence if a storm happens with the result of no power.

Actually, the wifi was super helpful last year pre-hurricane as it helped us assess how close Earl was in almost real time (instead of sporadic weather channel updates) and made it easier to get off the island and into a big hotel on St Thomas.

Wish August wasn't our only choice of months to travel this year, but it is what it is.

Trip insurance for sure. Even though we did have it during Earl, we didn't end up needing to use it!
