Any new Villa Jumbie info...?

Well, the countdown continues to trip #15.
We LOVE cooking at the villa, but are concerned about a review we read involving how the kitchen has "bare essentials."
I'm thinking about bringing our concerns up to the mgmnt.co.,- any new reviews that may prove otherwise before I sound like a whiny renter?
Thanks, and always

Hey, Jim - found this on their vrbo listing reviews:
Fortunately, the well-stocked kitchen at Villa Jumbie allowed us to prepare most of our meals at home.

I was just thinking about this and I think that I would just plain old ask.
The listing says the house has a gourmet kitchen with all the essentials but you have been told by a guest there that information is not correct.
I would send an email and tell them that you have been told the kitchen is not as well equipped as the listing states and that you have concerns with that.
Marybeth got a waffle iron and a coffee grinder at Bongo Bongo, I would bet that most owners are the same as Jeff and Russ, and want guests to have he things they expect.

I am with X and would ask questions and state your expectations. Tell them exactly what you told us - we love to cook at the villa and want to make sure we have everything we need.
We had a nasty surprise at a "luxury" villa where the kitchen stuff was total crap, the stovetop wouldn't stay lit and the gas grill didn't work - the maint guy told my mom "oh this thing never works" - and that cured me of feeling weird about being thought of as picky by any rental agency.
Since then, I am specific with my questions.
Example - are the pots and pans in good condition ie - no peeling teflon? Is there at least one (or however many you expect) baking sheets? Is the grill working? Has the propane tank been filled recently? Are there enough wine glasses for the number of guests?

All great advice, naturally...
Thanks, y'all.
I'm try not to be too demanding,(probably more curious & bothersome...) but I'll ask about what we have to work with...
Just can't wait to get there & see how it all unfolds.
It's about the journeys & beaches too, right...?
My Sweet Amy & I need it, and we can't wait to meet new forum friends in person as we make the best of our 10 day jamboree.
